Many shelters only keep dogs for a short period of time before they are euthanized, and I would like to do my part to prevent that from happening in any way.ĭonations can be made in any amount and I will be personally indebted to you for doing so.

A big goal of mine is to offer free services to shelter pets in hopes that a clean and tidy dog will increase it's chances of being adopted. Since I will be taking donations I would like to give back as much as I can. I will also have to purchase various shampoo's and conditioners, towels, washer and dryer for said towels, leads, kennels, and so much more.

These are just the basic essentials that I will need to run my business. Equipment is quite expensive, but will last a very long time, a nice tub will cost me over $1,000.00, a nice table will run between $800.00 & $900.00, and a high velocity dryer about $350.00. It is with your contributions that I will be able to make that a reality so much sooner.

Upon completion my aspirations are to open my own full service shop that would not only include grooming services, but boarding, day care, and a retail store. I am being professionally trained at a grooming school in northern Indiana and will be finished in August of 2012. I created this page in hopes that others will be generous enough to support me in my quest to open a successful dog grooming business. Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog page. I really want to get the word out within the next couple of months, I've only got about 7 weeks left until my grooming school graduation! Also, we are up to 28 "likes' on Facebook! Don't forget to share with your friends. So far I haven't had any donations, so if anyone is reading this and would like to contribute I would greatly appreciate it, every little bit helps. So I will be saving quite a bit of money. I should be able to complete my table for under $100 which is great considering I would be spending AT LEAST that on a folding table that I can't even adjust the height on, and a hydraulic table from a manufacture would cost upwards from about $350. The plan is to find an older used salon chair that already has the hydraulic lift and remove the seat and build up from there. I'm going to attempt to make my own hydraulic grooming table! Now, I'm not too handy when it comes to building stuff, but I think I can do this with just a little help from someone who can weld a couple of things for me.

Thank you.Since my budget is going to be pretty limited at first I have decided to try and save money where I can. Working with and for dog lovers is truly special and we will be forever grateful. These were some of the happiest times and we thank all of our customers, stockists, family and friends for supporting us through the years. They were such a hit at the local fairs and markets that we started which I began running full time from my Brooklyn studio. We soon began making bow tie collars as well.

because we love our pups so much and created the only dog collars on the market made in the same manner and quality as men's neckties. Together, my sister Tanya and I started the Dapper Dog co. So, looking ahead to the new year (and new decade!), we've decided to make a graceful exit now and end on a very happy, albeit bittersweet, note. Over the last several years we've had some pretty big life changes - welcoming new family members, big overseas moves, saying goodbye to our beloved Barkley - and though we've kept DDco running, we haven't been able to give it the same love we did in the earlier years. After 11(!!) years in business, the Dapper Dog co.
